Looking for cyber work?

We do not have a wall of open roles, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we have is a steady flow of project work with Australian organisations, and clients who regularly need a pair of hands for a few weeks.

Junior and seniorProject-basedNo CV needed to start

How this actually works

1. Tell us what you do

Six fields. No CV, no cover letter, no account to create. We want enough to know whether to call you, not your life story.

2. We talk when something fits

Each month we go through what our clients have coming up. If your skills match something real, we get in touch — and that is when we would ask for a CV.

3. You decide

We tell you the client, the scope, the rate and the duration before you commit to anything. You are free to say no, and it does not affect the next one.

4. Engaged properly

Contract, insurance and superannuation sorted before you start. We would rather do the paperwork once, properly.

Being straight about the work. It is irregular. Some months there is nothing; some months there are three things at once. This suits people who contract, or who are employed and want occasional extra work, more than someone who needs a salary on the first of the month. We will not string you along pretending otherwise.

What we place

  • Security operations and detection
  • SIEM engineering — Splunk, Sentinel
  • Data pipelines — Cribl
  • Vulnerability and exposure management
  • Network and firewall engineering
  • Cloud and identity — Azure, AWS, Entra ID
  • Penetration testing
  • GRC, audit and Essential Eight uplift

Both ends of the range. Early-career people who want supervised production experience, and senior engineers who want interesting work without a permanent role.

Please do not send a CV yet — we will ask for one if there is something that fits.

What we do with this

  • We keep it so we can match you to work. That is the whole purpose
  • We never send your details to a client without asking you first, for that specific piece of work
  • We do not sell it, share it with recruiters, or add you to a mailing list
  • We delete it after 24 months if nothing has come of it, or sooner if you ask
  • Ask us to show you, correct it or delete it any time —connect@summitcybergroup.com.au. See our privacy policy

We ask about work rights because engagements are with Australian organisations and some require it. We do not ask for your age, date of birth, nationality, health or anything else we have no business knowing.
